Zimmy’s is a great tourist attraction to people around the world. It has been around since the 1900s, and the building has been home to many other businesses. In the early 1900s, the building was known as a home to the trolley cars that ran all throughout downtown Hibbing. The large glass windows in the front of the building were where the trolley cars entered. The tracks still run through the basement. Once the Greyhound bus line opened, the trolleys went out of use. In 1920, it was converted to a Furlong’s Gas Station. Before it was an actual restaurant in 1980, it was also a Shell Tire and a Horn Auto Electric. It is found in downtown hibbing along Howard Street.
