The Range Mental Health Center Organization treats over 6,800 people for mental health and chemical use disorders every year.[1] In 2002, the Old Cobb Cook School was purchased and transformed into the Hibbing RMHC; this campus is known has the Governor Rudy Perpich Behavioral Health Center.[2] In March of 2007, the Perpich Apartment Complex, a twenty-seven-unit complex, was added to the RMHC to house those with severe and persistent mental illnesses.[3] The Adult Foster Care Program was started in November 2004, and now has one home in Hibbing. [4] Psychiatric services are available at the location in Hibbing, as well as Virginia, for any individual from ages of five to 100.[5]
