The Range Mental Health Center Organization treats over 6,800 people for mental health and chemical use disorders every year. In 2002, the Old Cobb Cook School was purchased and transformed into the Hibbing RMHC; this campus is known has the Governor Rudy Perpich Behavioral Health Center. In March of 2007, the Perpich Apartment Complex, a twenty-seven-unit complex, was added to the RMHC to house those with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The Adult Foster Care Program was started in November 2004, and now has one home in Hibbing.  Psychiatric services are available at the location in Hibbing, as well as Virginia, for any individual from ages of five to 100.
