Kelly Lake is located about halfway between Nashwalk and the town of Hibbing. The population is 947[1]. Of that population, 423 are female and 524 are male[2]. There are 8679 households in Kelly Lake[3]. There is 443.249 square miles of land and 11.434 of lake[4].

Many have said that Kelly Lake got its name from a man who was out mining that came across the lake and his name was Micheal Kelly[5]. No one knows if this tale is true or not but it seems to make sense since there is a mine right behind the lake. It is a small but wonderful community to live in which is far enough out of town to get away but close enough to not have to drive far to get into town[6].
